The Barre Montpelier SDA Church received a letter from a Deaconess at one of our SDA churches in Kenya Africa requesting Bibles. They have numerous members that did not have a Bible of their own. To confirm this was not a scam, we researched it which included contacting the General Conference of SDAs to confirm the Pastor of that church who could then confirm the Deaconess. Once we knew it was a legitimate request, we did research to determine the best and most cost-effective option for getting them Bibles. We learned that there is a Bible store near them that sell Bibles in their own language for $10 each. This turned out to be the best option, and we have over the last year helped them obtain nearly 450 Bibles. Since we started this outreach, they have had over 1200 people come to their church for baptism through visitations from the deaconess’ family. The family has been doing visitations weekly and more and more people have been giving their hearts to the Lord in baptism. God is moving mightily in that area! We are having trouble getting them enough Bibles to keep up with the new converts.
